- Hyper Focus is local-first. Your data stays on your device by default.
- Creating an account and turning on sync is optional.
- We don't use third-party analytics or ad trackers.
1. Information we collect
If you create an account
- Your name and email address
- A securely hashed version of your password (the original is never stored)
If you turn on sync
- Your tasks and focus sessions
- Your in-app settings, such as timer durations and theme
What we don't collect
- No analytics or advertising trackers in the app
- No location, contacts, photos, or microphone data
2. How we use your information
- To keep your tasks, sessions, and settings in sync across your devices
- To sign you in and keep you signed in
- To respond when you write to us for support
3. Where your data is stored
- On your device — always. Hyper Focus works fully offline.
- On our servers — only if you create an account and turn on sync.
- Sign-in tokens are kept securely on your device using the platform's secure storage.
4. Sharing
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for advertising or marketing. We may share information only when required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our users.
5. Retention & deletion
You can sign out at any time and your account data on our servers stops syncing. You can request full deletion of your account and synced data by contacting us at the email below — we'll remove it within 30 days. Local data on your device is yours; you can clear it from the app's settings at any time.
6. Security
Data is sent between the app and our servers over encrypted connections. Passwords are never stored in plain text. We follow common-sense security practices and keep our dependencies up to date, but no system is perfect — please use a strong, unique password.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain uses of it. You can exercise these rights at any time by contacting us.
8. Children's privacy
Hyper Focus is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we'll delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
If we make changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of the page. For substantive changes we'll let you know in the app or by email.
